Teacher of English Opportunity in Chelmsford

Location: Chelmsford 

Salary: £100 - £230 per day 

Start Date: Immediately 

Contract Type: Full-time

About the Role:

As a Teacher of English, you will play a vital role in shaping the communication skills and literary appreciation of our students. You will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that explore a range of texts, genres, and writing styles. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for English literature and language and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive English lessons in line with the national curriculum

- Teach a range of topics including poetry, prose, and drama, and develop students' analytical and critical thinking skills

- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to express their ideas and opinions

- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and cater to different learning styles

- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development

 

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

- Degree in English literature, language, or a related field

- Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4

- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
