Learning Support Assistant Opportunity in Romford

Location: Romford 

Salary: £70 - £100 per day 

Start Date: Immediately 

Contract Type: Full-time

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide individualized support and assistance both inside and outside the classroom. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for inclusive education and the ability to build positive relationships with students and their families.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities

- Assist students with their learning activities, including reading, writing, and numeracy

- Implement strategies to help students overcome barriers to learning and promote their independence

- Support students with social and emotional development and help them to develop positive relationships with their peers

- Collaborate with teachers to create inclusive learning environments and ensure that all students can access the curriculum

 

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
