General Cover Teacher
Location: Sunderland, Tyne & Wear
Salary: £130 - £170 per day
Contract: Full Time, Temporary
GSL Education are seeking adaptable and reliable General Cover Teachers to work in schools across Sunderland. This role involves covering lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher across various subjects and year groups.
Job Summary:
- Cover lessons and deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Ensure a positive and productive learning environment for students.
- Maintain good classroom management and behaviour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow school policies and procedures in managing classroom activities.
- Provide feedback to regular teachers on completed work and behaviour.
- Engage students in learning activities and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge across multiple disciplines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
