ASD Teaching Assistant - Primary
Location: Sunderland, Tyne & Wear
Salary: £75 - £100 per day
Contract: Full Time, Temporary
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to work in primary schools in Sunderland. This role involves supporting students with autism spectrum disorder, facilitating their educational and social development.
Job Summary:
- Provide tailored support to students with ASD.
- Assist in the implementation of educational plans designed to meet students' specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' learning and development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with classroom adaptations to suit individual learning needs.
- Support students in developing communication and social skills.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback.
Qualifications:
- Experience or training in supporting children with ASD.
- A compassionate approach and strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with ASD.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
