Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary
Location: Sunderland, Tyne & Wear
Salary: £75 - £100 per day
Contract: Full Time, Temporary
GSL Education are looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across Sunderland. Ideal candidates will be passionate about education and keen to contribute to student development.
Job Summary:
- Assist in secondary classrooms across various subjects.
- Support students' learning under the guidance of the teacher.
- Help prepare and organise learning materials.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage with students to facilitate learning and participation.
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress.
- Assist with administrative tasks and classroom preparation.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in a relevant subject.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with teenagers.
- Prior experience in tutoring or mentoring is beneficial.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
