Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Chelmsford
Start Date: Summer 2024

Our Primary School is seeking an outstanding and inspirational individual to join our team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growing, ambitious, and supportive staff team.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 5 days a week, term time only

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be an experienced, flexible, and outstanding practitioner dedicated to improving children's progress and outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Covering whole classes and supporting children with various learning needs, both individually and in groups.
  • Implementing a range of strategies for behavior management.
  • Collaborating effectively with the teaching team and support worker teams to ensure high-quality planning and preparation.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate must:

  • Be educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Hold GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or above.
  • Demonstrate evidence and experience of teaching whole classes and/or relevant HLTA qualifications (teaching qualifications may be paid on the main scale).
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to children, parents, and other adults.
  • Be committed to supporting the school's vision, mission, and values.
  • Have personal drive and determination to deliver the best standards for learners.
