Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? If so, GSL Education are looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide personalised support to a student in a welcoming school in Sheffield.

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with a student who requires additional support, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop independence in the classroom.

1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-on-one support to a student with specific learning needs.
  • Assist in lesson participation and engagement, adapting resources when necessary.
  • Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Implement individual learning plans (ILPs) in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs.
  • Offer behavioural and emotional support to promote well-being.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, SEN TA, or similar role.
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to student support.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to individual student needs.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant certification) – desirable but not essential.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
