Secondary Science Teacher – Southampton, Hampshire

GSL Education are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Southampton. This full-time role offers a competitive salary between £30,000 and £50,000 per year, with a permanent contract available after a probation period. The position starts from Easter 2025 or September 2025, and the school is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators looking to make a lasting impact in the classroom.

Responsibilities of the Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic Science lessons that cater to a range of student abilities.
  • Inspire students to develop a strong understanding and enthusiasm for Science across Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing tailored support to help them succeed.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and academic growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching methods and contribute to the school’s curriculum.

Requirements of the Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science with the ability to teach across KS3 and KS4.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
