Job Summary of Primary School Teacher:
As a Primary School Teacher, you’ll be responsible for planning and teaching engaging lessons, creating a positive classroom atmosphere, and supporting students' overall development. You’ll work in various primary schools across Essex, with opportunities for experienced teachers, ECTs, and those looking to advance their careers, such as moving into Subject Lead positions.
Job Responsibilities for Primary School Teacher:
- Plan and deliver creative lessons that cater to all students’ needs.
- Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages participation.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and use this information to guide your teaching.
- Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs and provide extra support or challenges as necessary.
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, and others to support students' learning and well-being.
- Take part in professional development and contribute to the school’s improvement efforts.
Qualifications as a Primary School Teacher:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification preferred).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience teaching in a primary school setting is preferred (ECTs are welcome to apply!).
- Good understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching methods.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passion for working with children and helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Ability to work well in a team and positively contribute to the school community.
