Job Title: SEN Learning Support
Location: Waterlooville
Salary Range: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Learning Support professional to join a respected school in Waterlooville. You will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, facilitating the overall academic and social development of our students.
About the Role:
As an SEN Learning Support, you will be instrumental in fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Your role will involve supporting students with SEN to ensure they have access to the curriculum and can achieve their fullest potential.
SEN Learning Support Responsibilities:
- Offer one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN to help them engage with the curriculum.
- Provide tailored assistance to ensure students can understand and complete tasks effectively according to their individual learning needs.
- Track and assess student progress, adjusting support methods to meet evolving educational needs.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to deliver the best possible support for students with SEN.
SEN Learning Support Job Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children or young adults with SEN is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or Learning Support are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to enhancing the educational experiences of students with SEN.
- The ability to adapt to various situations and respond effectively to the needs of individual students.
- Understanding of various Special Education Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD etc.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
