Job Title: Food & Nutrition Teacher
Location: Newham
Salary Range: £38,766- £60,092 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start time: January 2025
Contract: Permanent

If so, GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Food & Nutrition Teacher to join a vibrant school community in Newham. Starting in January 2025, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape students’ understanding of nutrition and culinary skills, preparing them for a healthier future.
Responsibilities of the Food & Nutrition Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and practical Food & Nutrition lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Inspire students to develop a love for cooking, healthy eating, and food science.
- Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and well-equipped teaching environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and promote cross-curricular learning.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, events, and professional development.
Requirements of the Food & Nutrition Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Food & Nutrition or related field.
- Proven experience teaching Food & Nutrition across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong knowledge of food science, health, and safety standards.
- A passion for inspiring students to develop practical skills and a love for cooking.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
