Working Hours: 08:30 am to 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)

What You’ll Do as a Teaching Assistant in Newham:
- Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with classroom teachers to inspire and encourage students to achieve their full potential.
- Support Learning: Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they get the help they need to succeed.
- Engage and Inspire: Help students build their confidence and self-esteem through attentive listening and personalized learning strategies.

Who We’re Looking For:
- Experienced: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is essential.
- SEN Expertise: Ability to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Child Development Knowledge: A basic understanding of childhood development and effective support strategies.
- Team Player: Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a supportive team.
- Great Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Empathetic Listener: A caring approach to boosting pupils’ confidence and self-esteem through active listening and tailored interventions.
Safeguarding Notice:
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential for this role. Successful candidates must pass all necessary background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
