Location: Poole
Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 Per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time/Permanent

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support to access the curriculum effectively. Your role will involve assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs. This role is vital in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they receive the tailored educational experiences necessary for their academic and social development.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
- Provide targeted support to students with Special Education Needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic goals.
- Aid the classroom teacher in preparing and delivering lessons, ensuring all students are engaged and supported.
- Assist in tracking students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to individual education plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation and self-esteem.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and other professionals to develop and implement effective support strategies.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Prior experience working in a support role within an SEN educational or classroom setting.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Have patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with Special Education Needs.
- Possess the flexibility to support students with a range of needs and adapt to different classroom environments.
What Do We Want From You: To thrive in these roles, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education).
