GSL Education are currently recruiting for a fantastic, highly motivated, success-driven lead teacher for Post 19. The teacher must have QTS or QTLS and experience of autism is preferred. This is a Two-term contract possible to continue into next year.

Our Client is a successful, ambitious school with strong leadership and committed staff team. This is a well-established special school, which offers a unique service to the children of Tower Hamlets. The school made an innovative new 19-25 college partnership with Tower Hamlets College. The provision caters for up to 25 young people and follows an exciting programme, work related learning activities and life skills based on and off site. They are an accredited National Autistic Society School with a strong focus on maintaining good relationships between home and school.

They are looking for a candidate who ideally has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or QTLS
  • Must have very good command of English
  • Experience working in the UK school curriculum
  • Enthusiasm to teach and support children and young people with autism
  • Maintain appropriate and accurate assessment and monitoring of pupils progress
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Be able to lead a team of teaching assistants in the classroom

Cover Supervisors - Tower Hamlets

GSL Education is urgently seeking Cover Supervisors for schools in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We run a very busy 'day to day supply desk'- as well as getting long-term positions through, and require strong, reliable and experienced Cover Supervisors immediately. The role of a Cover Supervisor involves: -Sole responsibility for supervising classes and issuing work that has been set by the absent class teacher; -Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment; -Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures; -Dealing with any immediate problems according to the school’s policies and procedures; -Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher; -Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising. There are no qualifications necessary to work as a Cover Supervisor but you should feel confident to manage a class of students and to perform the above duties.
