As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of their usual teacher, ensuring pupils remain focused and complete the work provided. You will support students across different subjects, manage classroom behaviour and help maintain a calm and productive atmosphere throughout the school day. This role would suit someone who is organised, confident and enjoys working with young people in a school setting.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access their learning and participate confidently in school life. You may provide one-to-one or small-group support, assist with classroom activities and help pupils develop their communication, independence and learning skills.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside subject teachers to support pupils with their learning, engagement and development. You may provide support across different departments, work with individuals or small groups, and help pupils stay focused during lessons and transitions. You will also play an important part in supporting pupils who may need additional help with their learning, behaviour or confidence, including those working towards their GCSEs.

You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils remain engaged and on task throughout the lesson. The role would suit someone who enjoys working with young people, communicates clearly and can confidently maintain a calm and well-structured classroom environment.

This is a school-based classroom support role, not a PE teaching or sports delivery position. Your sporting background will provide valuable transferable skills such as behaviour management, resilience, communication and the ability to create structure.
