My name is Taryn and I am one of the Secondary Education Consultants at GSL Education.
I have been with GSL for just under 8 years now and it really has been a wonderful journey. Upon leaving school at the age of 18 years old I packed my bags and hopped onto a plane leaving sunny South Africa for the ‘slightly cooler’ UK climate. After taking a gap year I made the decision to start studying an LLB (Hons) Degree through the open University. A year into my degree I started working in Compliance for an Education Recruitment Company and this is where my love for the industry stemmed from.
After about 2 years working in Education Recruitment alongside studying toward my degree, it was very apparent to me that schools, teachers, support staff and most things surrounding Education was where my passion lay. I completed my degree and then moved on from compliance into a more suitable, people focussed role as a Recruitment Consultant.
What makes this job so enjoyable is not only my colleagues and managers, it is all of YOU! I find great people and find them great careers. This all starts with a conversation and along the way we’ll find it together.
