GSL Education are looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to support primary education schools in Ashington, Northumberland.
Job Summary: Graduate Teaching Assistants in primary settings support the learning activities of younger children under the direction of a lead teacher, focusing on fundamental educational activities, basic child care, and learning through play.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering educational activities and learning experiences.
- Support children’s educational and social development.
- Help prepare teaching materials and set up learning environments.
- Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning concepts.
Requirements:
- Degree in Education or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children.
- Enthusiastic and supportive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
