The role will be to join full time in an 'Outstanding' mainstream Primary School in Tower Hamlets. As a teaching assistant here, you will be supporting with children in Early Years in the mornings and a Year 4 child with physical disabilities in the afternoons. There will be the potential to secure a permanent contract for the right person.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to students with severe learning disabilities

Assist with personal care tasks, including nappy changing

Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in learning activities

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement individual education plans

Monitor and track student progress, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members

Encourage and promote independent living skills

Support children from disadvantaged backgrounds in the local borough of Tower Hamlets

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Experience working with individuals with severe learning disabilities is highly desirable

Knowledge and understanding toward the needs of students with disabilities

Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with students, staff, and parents

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment

A positive and proactive attitude toward supporting students' learning and development

Must have an enhanced child workforce DBS or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education

Able to access Tower Hamlets for 8.30am start
