Position: SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 3 (Complex SEND Experience Required)
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £80-£100 a day
Contract: Full time

We're a dedicated team at the forefront of education, committed to providing the best possible support for our students with Complex SEN. Our client school, rated 'Good' by Ofsted in Tower Hamlets, is seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join  the SEN Team.

The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant for Year 3, your expertise in supporting children with Down syndrome, Autism, severe learning needs, and nonverbal communication challenges is vital. You'll work closely with our teaching staff and SEN specialists to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that empowers every child to learn, grow, and succeed. Your Responsibilities:

  • Specialist Support: Provide tailored support to students with Down syndrome, autism, severe learning needs, and nonverbal communication challenges. Adapt and develop resources and strategies to suit individual learning styles.
  • Personal Development: Support the holistic development of students, focusing on not just their academic progress, but also their emotional well-being and social skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, parents, and external professionals to create a comprehensive network of support for our students.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on the progress and achievements of the students you work with, helping to identify areas for improvement and development.


What We're Looking For:
To excel in this role, you should bring:

  • Experience: Proven experience working with students with SEN: Down syndrome, autismor severe learning needs,  in a school or similar setting.
  • Empathy and Patience: A deep understanding of the challenges these students face and the patience and empathy to provide the support they need.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists.
  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and situations in the classroom.
