The Role:

As our Design Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, covering a range of design and technology disciplines such as graphics, product design, and engineering. From concept development to prototyping and evaluation, you will guide students through the design process, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the field.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Planning and delivering inspiring design and technology lessons that stimulate creativity and innovation

- Providing hands-on instruction and guidance in workshop environments, ensuring safe and responsible use of tools and equipment

- Facilitating collaborative projects and encouraging teamwork and problem-solving skills

- Incorporating real-world examples and industry insights to enhance students' understanding of design principles and practices

- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey

 

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Design and Technology Education

- Proven experience teaching design and technology across different Key Stages, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students

- A passion for design and technology, combined with a commitment to promoting innovation and sustainability

- Dedication to safeguarding and child protection, with a willingness to undergo necessary background checks
