Job Role: Level 3 Teaching Assistants
Location: Barnsley
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £95 - £105 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education is seeking a Level 3 Teaching assistant in Barnsley, to start immediately. You will help teacher deliver pre-planned lessons and manage student behaviour, across the curriculum.
Level 3 Teaching Assistants Responsibilities:
- Supervisor classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence.
- Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work.
- Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.
Level 3 Teaching Assistants Requirements:
- Must hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
- Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
- Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
- Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
