SEMH Tutor
Location: Various (must drive to get to students)
Salary Scale: £140 to £210 per day
Start Date: ASAP, Part-time and full-time posts available
About the Role:
GSL Education are seeking committed and adaptable SEMH Tutors to provide specialized educational support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. As a SEMH Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering tailored learning sessions and empowering students to achieve their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized tutoring sessions to students with SEMH needs, focusing on academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
- Develop engaging and interactive learning materials that cater to individual learning styles and needs.
- Establish a supportive and encouraging rapport with students, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with school staff and educational professionals to ensure continuity and alignment with students' educational plans.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and relevant staff members.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification and have experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience in supporting students facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and stakeholders.
- Be willing to travel to various locations to provide tutoring support to students.
- Show a commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
