Post 16 Teaching Assistant
- Location: Consett, County Durham
- Salary: £75.00 - £100.00 per day
- Contract: Full Time, Temporary
GSL Education are recruiting for a Post 16 Teaching Assistant to support students in a sixth form setting in Consett, assisting them as they prepare for higher education or vocational training.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to support educational plans and assessments.
- Facilitate group sessions and one-to-one support focusing on academic and personal development.
- Monitor and encourage progress in students’ academic and vocational pursuits.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a post-16 educational setting is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage young adults in their studies.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
