Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day

As an Autism Support Worker at a Christchurch-based school, you will play a pivotal role in providing personalised care and support to students with autism spectrum conditions. This permanent position offers a unique chance to contribute to the well-being and development of those in our care.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement personalised care plans designed, lesson plans to meet the unique needs of students with autism.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages independence and personal growth.
  • Utilise effective communication strategies to build rapport and trust with students with autism.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including class teacher and staffs, to ensure holistic support.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of students' progress and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Autism Support Worker in school or similar role is preferred.
  • Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and evidence-based support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students with autism.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
